Many years ago, I was stuck in a major frustration 'cause I could not find any Black greeting cards to send to my friends for their celebrations or for a Just-Coz-I-Luv-Ya note.

   So!  I translated that negative N2 a positive via so many water colour pictures & printing them N2 greeting  cards. The reaction from friends was glorious & heart-warming!

   In time, I thought: "maybe these images could be sold on a mass market".

   On a lark, I took my card samples to show the head Buyer Guy at LA's downtown Broadway Department Store to see if he would be interested in selling them. I shoulda brought my galaxial passport. I didn't know I was about to land on The Bigot Planet!

   The guy coldly said: "These cards are very pretty, but the Blacks are not a significant buying power!"

   I wanted to know where he was storing his white sheet, hood & wood-cross for torching ... instead, I asked if he ever went down to his LA department store floor to view the wealth of black customers. He said: "Why bother? I'm too busy makin' money."

   Oh, Golly Miss Molly!!!
