Once again (as with Harry Belafonte), the wonderful Okeefe Centre N Toronto, commissioned me 2 create a portrait 2 honour a record breaking performance at their magnificent theatre.

Major plus: it was 4 Charles Aznavour!

Major minus: I was on a rush timeline with several other diverse projects & they needed this ASAP!

So! I drank a lotta coffee, played his passionate, romantic music & created this portrait. O'Keefe rushed 2 frame it & again I was 2 present it on stage. Bonus! I had a backstage pass & the privilege of viewing his concert from the wings of the theatre. His energy commanded that stage with an awesome power.

After the applause & many deserved bows, I was brought on stage 2 present him with his beautifully framed portrait. He smiled broadly, eyed it luvingly, thanked me N many complimentary French phrases & hugged me.

Now... N heels, I'm about 5'9', so his face smashed N just above my boobs. I whispered: "Sorry, I am not shorter." Charles whispered: "I am not complaining, This is... tres jolie!"

Yet, another luving memory.
